Sorry, I came over all strange when I found her name as a Servant living with one of my rellies - sorry I have confused myself and you, thanks for information, thinks this could be the missing jigsaw, as I have a Diston who married th man who used to run the Deptford Inn - so this is exciting - please I hoovered and Ironed before. I think some confusion (on my part at least) has arisen because you mention 2 Isabellas in your heading, one born 1855, the other 1885. I spent ages trying to find Isabella 1855 to no avail, before I noticed the 1885 one. I take it the 1855 is a typo, and there is in fact just 1 Isabella. Liz |

Thought I had most of my Distons covered but found an Isabella Diston born 1855 as a servant for another of my relatives, Henry Gatiss. It is Isabella Diston born 1885 in Gateshead, County Durham I am interested in - PLEASE. Jennifer |
