Dea, is it a child bearing woman? it may have been uncontrollable bleeding after a baby was delivered. Have just checked, puerperal might be the word and it relates to childbirth |

okay, try again. I have found purpura which is an inflammation of the blood vessels. It can cause serious damage to the liver and kidneys. What do you think? |

Why not, I mean cause of Death, Gave his life for King and Country, sounds good doesn't it? You could ask your GP next time you have to visit him. Teresa. Please excuse me, I have developed a shocking cold and am curled up with my laptop and cuppa, feeling very sorry for myself. Any diversion is extremely welcoming |

'Purpuric haemorhage' is a recognised medical diagnosis but it's actual cause may not have been known at the time of your death certificate. The haemmorhages occur in the skin and bleeding may occur from other sites such as nose, bowels or kidneys. Before the advent of anti-coagulants and blood transfusions there was no cure. Some diseases such as Christmas Disease, Haemophillia, Thrombocytopenic Purpura have these skin haemmorhages' I used to be a nurse for 30 years and have nursed patients with this disorder. Jennifer |

Teresa - Yes that's my excuse as well - woke up yesterday with an awful cold - no better today so any little thought to cheer me up and I go off on a tangent. - I will think more seriously tomorrow. Jennifer - thanks for that - it doesn't quite say that but as he couldn't spell haemorrhage, there is no reason why he should be able to spell purpuric ?? Thanks to both - I think we have it solved. Regards, Dea x |
