However, the same family appears in 1861 in Clerkenwell, with Robert Tucker, railway guard, born 1811 Gravesend, Kent. Angela |

Yes, i know about 1861, '71 and '81. They all say Gravesend!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrr........ He is my gt gt grfather and I can't find his birth. It is very annoying. I have his marriage in Ware, Herts in 1835 and his death in Forest Gate, West Ham in 1888. He had the middle name of Benjamin which is used on his marriage certificate and on some of his children's baptism entries but he doesn't seem to use it in everyday life. I am at a loss as to how i can find his birth/baptism. He is my brick wall!!! Viv |

Have you tried the IGI for him? Is he with any parents at any time - in the 1841 perhaps? I am just thinking that these are all river Thames side locations - may be an indication of his dads occupation. PS Angela, LOL - beating me isnt that fantastic, now if youd beaten Merry, Jess or Nell for example ............... |

Heather, He was living in Drummond Street on the 1841 and his wife and children were in Ware, Herts. Have no idea about parents....they certainly weren't in Ware in 1841 and there is no parents names on the marriage entry in 1835. Bit of a mystery is Robert . Viv |
