thank you, I will try but all I have to go on is his fathers name, how will I know if it's the right one? could be more than one Thomas Dinsdale with father Edward?

Kate

Kate Report 21 Mar 2006 12:30

What is his father's occupation? You could try looking at the census for a Thomas with father Edward and see if any match the occupation and that might give you an idea which birth is the right one. Also, could either or both (or more?!) of the witnesses on the marriage cert be relatives of Thomas? Kate.

Porkie_Pie Report 21 Mar 2006 12:32

Linda, you never no your luck untill you try? do you no fathers occupation? that could be the Key, it will be on the marraige cert and the birth cert, although he may have changed his occupation, give them a ring you may get lucky good luck

I have Thomas' address in 1911 maybe he was living with parents at same address in 1901? clutching at straws now :)
