Tom Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, my two kids had cooked a lovely lasagne and salad for my tea as it's Mother's Day. Glass of red to go with it too! The software from the LDS is your own personal tree and is not connected to the website in any way. It's like any other software, you can create Gedcoms, print various charts etc. Owt for nowt, got to be worth a try?

I got my tree up to date on my software, then uploaded it via a Gedcom onto here ... and it's gone haywire! Besides being married to my husband, it also has me married to a distant cousin in Australia, 30 years before I was born. I'm going to 're'-upload in the next few days and if it's still barmy, will email GR. Tom - definitely get your tree onto some software, DON'T have GR as your only base! Mandy in Somerset

If you want something quick the best thing to do is download the one on LDS site. http://www.familysearch.org It's free and simple to use. I'm still using it two years later! From the home page go to order/download products Click software downloads free Click on PAF 5.2, the top one

I like familytree, you might be able to get it on e-bay or Amazon.com, they might have the 2005 cheap then you can upgrade to 2006. This program is very informative gives you kinship too which is nice, It also gives you a web page that you can upload to and they do it for you just make sure you click on the do not include living rellies.

Do you have Familytree? If so you can go into save and save as a gedcom, real easy. I guess any genealogy program would have one

If you have a gedcom on your computer that is correct you can upload and it should replace this one

please help, my great great grandmother has implanted herself as the sister of my great grandad, her sn, and whenever you click on her it takes you to the tp, like on a loop. I cannot delete any of them because they 'have either both parents or children' and because it is on a loop I'm stuck. I;ve e-mailed gr but no lick as yet.
