One of my G.G Grandmothers Esther ?? b.1829 Married my G.G.Grandfather Frederick Kitchingside b. 1828 in Dorking in 1857. She married under the name of Botting as she was Previously married to a man who was deported. She had two children at the time of marriage to Frederick. Jane 1851 and Fanny 1854. My problem is how can I find her maiden name?? I don't know her first husbands name. I would be gratefull if anyone has any ideas! Thankyou Christine x |

Georgina, There is a tree put in on Ancestry for Frederick and Esther but when I try to send a message theres no reply. It was put in in 2002 I think perhaps whoever put it in has changed address. Thats where it says a woman whos husband was deported ect. Christine x Also When someone checked the 1841census for me they couldn't find a Esther Botting Strange eh?? |

Christine I have a similar problem with 1 section of my family, someone in the US has posted my family (with the wrong wife) in 2000 but all emails are returned so they have either moved or died. If the entries on the IGI are not yours it seems a very wierd coinsidence. I think your best bet would be to get one of the childrens birth certs and see if a father is mentioned. Georgina. |
