Can some kind person tell me how to ---in simple term's----send my tree from here to another site???? Please xxxxx

Hi Ann, On this page on the right hand side you will see Import/Export tree. Click on this and it will show two options to either IMPORT or EXPORT your tree. Click on EXPORT (makes sure your email address is correct) GR will then send you a file (GEDCOM file) to your email address. This may take 1/2an hour to 24 hours!!!! Once it arrives by email it will be as an attachment to the email. Click on this attachment and it should ask if you want to open it or save it. Choose save it. (This will save the tree/file to your PC). Then go to the site you want to put it on and navigate it until you find where they ask you to import your (GEDCOM file). You will then have to find the file on the Hard Drive of your PC and add it to the new site. Hopes this makes sense. Suzanne

Hiya Anne, Meeeeeeee;; Ann you send a gedcom from this site and store it on computer in my documents, then you download from ther to Family tree maker or Legecy ect;; But a copy stays in your documents all the time unless you delete it;; Babs'';; ps Have you got a place to download to like FTM ?

I'm trying to export mine as well. Tried last night but not in my email yet either. I was going to ask if anyone could help me. But I'll just have to be patient LOL! Elaine

Just to let you know it's arrived---my Gedcom from GR!!!! It's taken abotu 22 hour's!!!

now for the fun bit putting it all right, as mine as some others arrived with all sorts of mistakes in them good luck with yours.

Ann, I started exporting yesterday I'm still waiting. With closing down last night the status went back to Normal so I've had to start again...how can I get round this.

Jean I don't know but some one may---when i said it had arrived i meant via Message from GR now waiting to see how long it takes on Tribal Pages it says' could be up to 24 hour's!!!!

Also got my message from GR last night aswell and I imported it to Tribal last night. Now waiting for the email from Tribal to say its been uploaded there. Elaine
