I'm sure I found a Timmis family in the same household as some of my rellies, who were mostly in Staffs and Warks. I'll have a look and see what I can find.

From Staffordshire BMD: http://www.staffordshirebmd.org.uk/ Staffordshire Birth indexes for the years: 1883 Surname Forename(s) / Sub-District / Registers At / Reference TIMMIS Alice Maud M / Audley / Newcastle-Under-Lyme / AUD/32/282 TIMMIS Arthur Ernest / Audley / Newcastle-Under-Lyme / AUD/31/381 Maybe she was a twin?

MaryfromItaly

MaryfromItaly Report 2 Apr 2006 15:25

It looks as though Arthur Timmis died in 1888. You might find it interesting to search the Staffordshire BMD, at the link I gave you earlier. I searched for deaths with the surname Timmis from 1884-1888, and there were 11, which seems like an awful lot.
