I know this sound's daft but i can't find on Ancestory a relative who should be there in Darlington in 1901

I cant find Eveline either and it is an unusual name. Not a case of mum remarrying or anything is it? And the other name you are looking for, can you spell that again please.

OOps sorry I have mislead you Agnes was Agnes Thirlwall before she married Joseph Hughff in 1899 at Darlington. Just can't find her or Eveline at all on census 1891 or 1901 Thank you for bothering

Hope this doesn't offend you, but a name like Hughff is almost certain to get mis-transcribed a lot of the time! If you search for, say, 'Hugh*', and specify a date range for year of birth and also the county of birth you should get a few to choose from (if you have any more of them to search for, or want to find them on a different census.) No offence at all taken Hughff is pronounced Yuff not sounding the H, Thank you for all that info I am not sure but the Evelyn Hurlwall is the right age and the Joseph and Agnes in Essex could be them so i will print all this off and try and see if any fit Thank you so much.
