Roy, I'm trying to suss out the third childs name. Gina, they appear as Braughton on Ancestry and were living at 18 Poole Street Hoxton Old Town Middx. I think I know what it says but I want to see if others think the same way. |

I'm not convinced it's Jammie but the enumerator must have had a lot to transcribe as his writing is appalling. (Or perhaps a lot to drink!) |

looks like, Jammie? to me. have you checked for a birth on the index? if Jammie is there it would confirm the name. Roy |

I can't say what I think it looks like in case I influence anyone's opinion. This lot are a nightmare! They have been no end of trouble. If only they'd stayed in one location like they were supposed to back then! How will I ever track their marriage when they travelled to God knows how many parishes. Guess that should take care of my pension when I retire! |

No, they don't seem to have registered any of them, though if Thomas (junior's) age is out by 2 years there may be a possible. christening in Stepney. Knowing my luck that'll be the son of the other Elizabeth Broughton from Anglesey born 1808 who was living in Hoxton. |

In 1861 the mother and son (can't remember which) are living together. Think I'll look there and see if there could be a Jessica Broughton elsewhere or the other name I'm thinking of. |

I'm wondering if it's Jemmima. And guess what? she doesn't appear on the 1861. O well, another 10 years of deaths and 6 of marriages to look through and such florid handwriting too! |
