Hello all helpers, Would some one be kind and study the original census image for me. 1861 piece728 folio67 page32 reg.dist. Faringdon address Lechdale Rd. Faringdon Berks. Richard Whiteway67 head, ag. lab. Gardiner Martha 27 Daught, unmarried, no occ. Two sons unmarried, not important at moment. Bamming Edward 2Grandson This is the transcript from 1837online. On the Ancestry transcript Grandsons name given as Emming. I have looked and looked at original. Marital status of daughter has a black line scribbled through it. Grandsons name is almost impossible to understand. Ithought it looked like Camming or Lamming. No emming or Bamming in relevent birth searches. Perhaps some one with better eyes can figure it out! Thanks from Sylvia. |

That marriage could very well be significant because on 1871 Kezia is given as an alternative name for Eliza Hemming (wife) |

You are all such clever helpful people! That is definately my lot. Mary the barmaid was asister who didnt appear on 1861 so I thought she had gone off to get married. Eliza-Kezia must be her older sister. What a break through! Not only more relatives( MY gtgtgt granddad was this lots older brother) but I have a Kezia!!!!! You should all be working for ancestry or 1837 as transcribers. Many many thanks Sylvia. Going to print it off now and start enlarging tree. I have been trying to update this for half an hour but I dont really know what I am doing. |
