You would need to check the 1891 census if you know when and where she was born to see whick man she married (or buy the cert!) Merry

I know!! silly me! lol! I wanted to check that was the only one in the area - long story, can't find any trace of her on 1891/1901 so assume she died or remarried. Her hubbie went to America in 1890 with another woman, and this other woman had a baby in 1888ish. So wanted to be sure y'know!

Yep - she married Watson Carr in 1882. So I'm hoping its her.

This is bothering me: 1891: Eva Simpson abt 1890 Lincolnshire, England St Michaels Lincolnshire Fanny Simpson abt 1864 Worksop, Nottinghamshire, England Wife St Michaels Lincolnshire Samuel Simpson abt 1857 Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England Head St Michaels Lincolnshire Might they be your married couple from 1888? Well her birth year is right - but she was definitely born in a place called Snarford. Its prob worth getting the certificate. I know that her son was living with her parents in 1891 so that accounts for him.

I think the Fanny Carr who married in 1888 was single. I think this is her in 1881: Fanny Carr abt 1865 Worksop, Nottinghamshire, England Visitor Keighley Yorkshire She is shown as single and her date/place of birth match with Mrs Simpson. :o(( Merry
