Am I doing something wrong?

I am still trying to find my way around around this site, so I may be doing something wrong. This morning I purchased some credits to view 'Who lived in your house' on the 1991 census. When I tried to view, a message came up on the screen to say that this page could not be found, although they charged me for this. This has happened twice now and yes-I have E-mailed them about it. That made me fed-up so, then I tried to view another page on Records in GR When I tried to view, it told me that I had no credits and suggested that I buy some! Can anyone help me to understand this please? Thanks |

Hi Tiger-Lily Have you made a mistake with the date, did you mean the 1901 census on the right of the screen? I haven't used that since GR bought it but think it cost 75pence per image. I hope someone can advise you. Heather |

A lot of times when you move from one place to another on GR you will get the ''page not found'' or similar message, usually the link works if you try again, but if it is on the 1901 census and has cost you money for nothing, then that's obviously not on!! You have emailed them.....when you did that, did you notice that you have to click send TWICE - once on one page and then again on the next.....Otherwise they won't get the message. Do you want anyone looked up in 1901? If you do, just post the details of what you know on this thread. Merry |

Woops! sorry about the date - yes I meant the 1901 census. Could anyone please tell me who lived at 5, Larcom Street Walworth, London in 1881? It may be my next vital step! Thanks all. |

Tiger Lily It would be more helpful if you had names - London is an awfully big place. Snowdrops |

Thank you Snowdrops and Merry. These were not my people but eliminate this thread. Just got my first cert for the marriage of my ggrandparents Alfred James and Frances Royal. I have found them in the 1891 and 1901 census with their growing family (inc. my nan). But I want to trace their birthplace or parents, siblings etc. Alfred's dad was marked 'deseased' on the cert, but Frances dad was Robert Royal a Traveller (?) . The cert had A & F living at 5, Larcom st, so I was rather hoping that this may have been his home, and I may find out mora about her family. This is very sketchy isn't it - sorry, but any help really appreciated. X |

Could you post the census details from after they were married, so we can see where they said they were born and their ages. Merry |
