Can anyone make out the occupation on this entry on the 1841 for EMILY JONES , who is conveniently at the top of the page! HO 107 / 962 / 10 Shall be so grateful if you can! Thanks Allie x

Can´t seem to get there with the reference you have given. Can you give her year of birth and civil parish of census.

Sorry all! I thought the ref would be enough... ooer! It's Bethnal Green and I THINK this is classed as MIDDLESEX but can't read it that well - though this must be it! Thanks Allie

I think it's dressmaker.......check the last entry on the previous page The ref would have been enough..........if it had been the right one.........lol Reg

I think her occupation is Dressmaker's apprentice (which has been shortened to Dressm. Ap.) with the double s, written as fs as it used to be. Kath. x
