Can anyone help me, I am looking for the marriage of James Jobling B 1853 Swalwell, durham to Mary Glover B1856 Newcastle. I can find them on the 1881, 1891 Census, I can find her on the 1901 but not him. I want their marriage certificate but can't find an entry, or birth for either of them. Best of it is he was the Registra for Births Marriages and Deaths on the 1881 and 1891 Census. Any pointers would be appreciated. thanks Gina

When looking for the birth Swalwell comes under the Gateshead district. Suzanne

There is a birth for just James Jobling in Jun 1/4 of 1855. Maybe I missed it or maybe he has been entered onto the indexes incorrectly or missed off all togethre?

Paul: thanks any ideas on how or if I can check about the Boer War. Sue in 10b: Thanks I have them in 1891 and 1901 and have the image. and found mary on 1881, but no james. Suzzanne: Thanks but think this is a different family in 1881 , parents the same but children different. but could be him and his parents in 1871 and 1861, but I dont know his parents names.
