A Chaser is an engraver.........so presumably he was an engraver on heraldry.........of Coats of Arms, etc...... Reg |

Blimey, that sounds a bit grand??? Wife and step children were shoe binders......But I suppose if you were trained at the engraving and then only had to copy....... It's def a possibility! How about this one...... Two marriage certs for siblings.....on one, father is a Lamp Maker, which fits with occs of others in the family. On the other one it says ''Gin Man'', unless it says ''Gen man''...... Merry |

husbandman was a term for a keeper of animals - a sort of farmer, I think! |

Merry, a gin is a kind of animal trap. Maybe the gin man made them or emptied them? |
