sorry for the delay. little sis MSNed me. Lots of intresting finds. Iwill look closely at it all. No i don`t have any birth certifs yet but i will order some and see what happens. Seems my great great grandmother suffered a lot in her short life. Married and widowed 3 times. It`s a sign of their times. I have got photos of Bridgets last street that she lived in off the web so i am hunting down more. Thank you all again Vanessa

Just for information: A quick look using the spelling of Drinkell takes you over to Grimsby, Lincolnshire with a few over Lancashire way. Spelling it using Drinkle most of them are around York area. Snowdrops

Dark secert and Snowdrop. They could possible be the ones. There is a bit of misspelling on this surname. Marriage of John and Bridget was DRINKELL. The death of Bridget was DRINKLE. I shall look into this further. Thanks everyone Vanessa

Vanessa, I'm assuming you meant John was the son and Thomas the father? Snowdrops No, that still wouldn't be right for the dates either would it?

hiya, are you sure of thomas's date of birth???? i know its a silly question to ask, just that for them to be of same parents, a 50 year span between siblings is a bit out, dont you think??? Julie

Can some kind soul please look on the 1901 census for me. I am looking for THOMAS DRINKLE born York 1842. And MARY ANN DRINKLE born York 1892. They are(i believe) the children from my great great grandmothers 3rd marriage to John Drinkle. I have just received burial information on My great great grandmother Bridget Drinkle. She died in august 1892 has a widow. of cancer aged 45 years. This was her 3rd time being widowed so i would like to know if hubby John was alive at the census time. Sorry for going on a bit but am getting very frustrated. I always thought John had out lived Bridget. They all lived in York. Thankyou Vanessa
