I have all the census information on David Wood abt 1838 Scarborough. Married by 1861 to Emma.living in Whitby. Emma died by 1881. I cant seem to find a birth marriage or death record for him. Closest I have found is a birth in 1848 (can't be him surely he was married by 1861) And a possibility of a marriage in 1858 in York but cant view it properly on Ancestry. Nothing on IGI.. Seems he stayed in Whitby and married again 1891/01 to a Mary. |

Can anybody check something out on ancestry? I have found David Wood marriage 1858 oct/nov/dec 9d 79. But when i click on view others on page it comes up with an error. I have also found an Emma Young married same date 9d 79 but David isn't on that page. Still no sign of a birth or death though. |

Tracy, There is this entry on IGI David Wood Birth: 16 April 1837 Christening 21 May 1837 Wesleyan Methodist, Scarborough Parents Thomas and Mary If the right David then you will not get a birth certificate. Maureen |

Civil registration started during 1837. If he was born pre Sep 1837 then he will not have a birth cert,it is parish registers Glen |

Tracy are you looking at the partial or complete images on Ancestry? sometimes with the partial images you only get say three men and two woman on the page!! So this is a problem, if you not full member would you like me to have a look at the complete images? |
