You put in your search terms and then select which kind of record you're after to see what they can list for you. Just had a bit of a play... Statistics Birth 36,789 Death 18,345 Marrs 22,856 Bapts 9,339 Burs 4,017 ParMs 4,122 Christine |

Sarah £5 for 1 year - maybe you were looking at the 2 year option. But I agree... it does seem vague... but you can have a free trial for one month without giving credit card details Carole |

There's a free trial option and the minimum is £5 not £10. There used to be a breakdown of the site stats, but all I can see at the moment is that there are 95,468 ecords on the site. They include both formal certificates and church register entries. The new version allows you to link records together as well. You can put info from your certs/register-pages on the site, and indicate whether you want to pass on the original cert (if you have one). Christine |

ukbdm I tried looking at that earlier on today & got their home page - which isn't really very helpful - it doesn't tell you what you'll get for your registration, or even how the site works - it actually looks like they only designed it for people who used it when it was free. Didn't go any further because it's 10 quid and they don't really tell you what you'll get or how many records they hold. Sarah :-) |

Think this must be it - it has my certs on it anyway. However it seems to have turned into a pay site - they say to cover running costs - what do you think? http://www.ukbdm*co*uk/ Carole |

Hi Sue Unfortunately no. As far as I can see this seems like a site for unwanted certificates. Carole |

It's the first time I've heard of that Carole but it sounds like a good idea - (I imagine it to be an information sharing place where, once you've bought your cert you put the details from it on line??) I know on here people start Certificate drop threads but they're so difficult to scour because each reply is added using a different format. Perhaps we should put them on 'trying to find' which is name serchable?? sarah :-) (still waiting for her first certs..) |
