i'm getting on very well with the male side of my family,but does anyone know how i can find out who the women have married, ie the daughters or is it just lucky if you fin d one of them. hazel

hi reg, i have her in the 1891 census at 8 yrs old. but what i want to do is find out if she ever married , but i'm not sure how you do that . as her partners name would be differnt from hers would'nt iti'm on a roll with the men in my family . hazel

The way to find out is to access the marriages records on Ancestry (free) and plough through, quarter by quarter. Unless you give full details, no-one will be able to help you. Reg

To determine whether it is the right Mary, you would need to oreder the cert, and specify her father's name as a checking point. If it wasn't, you would have some (£4.00, I think) of your £7.00 fee refunded. Alternatively, you could wait until 1911 census is released in 2012, and hope that the part of it with your relations has survived.......... Reg
