UPDATE: Wondering if the IGI record is for "my" Louisa(e). Wondering if she had at least two brothers. Wondering if Maurice De Jongh was Louisa(e)'s father. (Don't know her correct spelling; will refer to her as Louisa.) |

Hi Lisa, I think the 'M' is for Mistress so yes that would be school teacher. Fiona. |

Jim, Stalybridge is near Manchester and before I started researching years ago, I was told that the family came from Manchester. Fiona, would you know what 'school m' means, please? I was told that Charlotte was a teacher; wondering if school m has any connection. Also, that branch of the family passed down names, and some of Charlotte's children (she had at least 13) were Lydia Louisa(e), Charlotte Harriet, Charlotte Mary and Maria de Yongh, so the names are fitting, at least. |

Thank you, Jim. I'm checking to see how close those areas were to Warrington. |

Hi Fiona. I'm checking right now. Thank you. Hi Fiona. I do have Harriett penciled in, on another chart, so it appears to be them. Thank you, Fiona. |

Hi Patricia. Yes, that's the only information I know about both parents. A distant relative told me their names, so I know that the marriage you saw is 'their's'. But, that's all I know about the family. Thank you for your replies, Patricia and Kate. |

Lisa On familysearch.org there's a marriage for the parents in 1826, but maybe you already have that? There's also a birth that might be Louisa but check spelling. Patricia |

Hi Kate. Actually, I believe I did ask for a lookup for 1841(?), but can't find the information now (too embarrassed to ask again). If I did actually ask for the lookup, I believe her place of birth wasn't mentioned, as I don't have any information for her at all. |

Lisa, have you searched for the family on any censuses? I wouldn't be surprised if Louisa was born in another country, maybe Holland? A census entry or two would certainly help as when we know where she was born we can suggest where to look. Kate. |

Don't know anything about Charlotte Lee's mother, Louisa DeJongh. Charlotte was baptized in Warrington, Lancashire on 26-Apr-1827. Parents supposedly were Thomas Lee and Louisa DeJongh. Wondering where I can search for Louisa DeJongh, please? Thank you. |
