Hi Can anyone help me i have a Philip George Stocks Baptised at Bishop Ryder Church Birmingham with his Brother Edward Parents are Edward and Esther , i applied for the Birth Certificate but there isn't one they were both Baptised on the 17th May 1869 . Edward was born in 1864 and the parents married in 1862 . At present i cannot find either a Birth or Death of Philip can anyone help please

i have Edward and Esther on all of the Census's but still no sign of a Philip and no Birth or Death seems very strange

Me to Maddie ,i even looked under Stokes as they are Baptised as Stokes but are definatly Stocks but nothing there either

Have you tried burials in the area? Births didn't have to be registered until 1875, and then a death couldn't be registered. just a suggestion. Hope you get to the end of this mystery.

I wonder why Phillip was perhaps not registered but Edward was. I have considered that he was born to Esther before she married and have looked at Faultless children but no Phillip although George comes up. Howeve for such an easy surname, I have never seen so many mistranscribes on Ancestry.
