Try looking for Peake |

Thanks for the tip. This is my maiden name and you're quite right to suggest the extra e. I've trawled through names with just "pea" and "pee" and haven't seen anything in the area that looks quite right. Mind you, it does send you goggle eyed after a while :-/ |

Hi, I know quite a bit but there is this gap that is bugging me, you know how they do? |

Thomas jnr in 1871 census shows him with 3 children, Ann (who is probably Amelia), Mary Ann and Thomas who is a baby at the time. They go on to have Henry and William but Thomas dies before the next census. |

Oh crikey, sorry, that should be 1851 not 1871. He's dead by 1871 and there is no census for them 1861 and guess this entry might be one of many 1861 entries lost in Middlesex. |

I can't find them in 1851 either. Have they been mistranscribed? What was Thomas jnr's wife's name? |

Well I think I eventually found Henry in 1851 who is recorded as being born in St Sepulchre. So is this a possibility for your family? |

Yay, thank you both for your trouble and a double thank you to Ozi for what looks like my family in 1841. Ann would have been Catherine in reality but the similarity in other details makes it look like it's them. |
