I was looking for information for a Norfolk ancestor (a publican) and googled www.norfolkpubs.co.uk. Once I had identified the pub, up came a list of all the licensees from 1830. If you know the area, try this method. Alternatively, you could google by typing the name of pub and the word "licensees" after it. If these methods don't work, the library in the locality of the pub in question might have a business/trade directory (Kelly's is a well known one). I think you can also do searches online via this route. Good luck. Pam |
