I think the name is John Wilson - it's the only one that comes up on the 1871 census with that place of birth. |

Anne.....Was John married in Ireland ? What was his Religion and where was he living at the time you find him on the Census ? What was his wifes name ? |

Anne...Have found ref.to a Robert Wilson listed as a Saddle/Harness Maker Knox St. Ballina Co.Mayo 1846.....Not many Wilsons around .....some on the 1901 census..none for Islandeady.... |

This could be significant as John joined the cavalry and then on his daughter's wedding cert is described as a groom. |

Possibly a Brother of Robert...????? Anyhow it makes interesting reading...I could not ref.him in the Trade Journal of 1846 though.... |
