Typing problem

Hi folks

Never had a problem before, but in the last few days, if I type more than about 6 lines on a thread/post, the text starts sort of scrolling itself up and down such that I can see the line I am typing.

Anyone any ideas why? It's already doing it on this post!

Mine does that now and again and its really annoying when you are trying to add extra to a post you have already typed out lol

That's a problem if you use Internet Explorer 8. Either revert back to IE 7 or use Firefox.

Yes, I have had this problm for a few weeks. I type 6 or 7 lines then the page stayes at that 6 or 7th line and i must type blind.

me too. it is very annoying. Thought it was just me. Think i might contact GR and ask why.

I had this problem when my Internet Explorer was updated. At the top of the screen, next to the address box (where it says www.genesreunited) do you have an icon that looks like a torn piece of paper? If so, click on it - that's how I solved the problem.

I have had this response from GR:

"Thanks for your email.

I am sorry to hear of your problems. I can see that you are using Internet Explorer 8. I am afraid that at the moment some members using Internet Explorer 8 are experiencing a few problems. Our technical team are aware of this and do hope to fix it as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience while we work on this. "

Try this, Click on Tools and if there isn't a tick against Compatibility View, click it.

Phew, I thought it was only me!

Well, let's give it a whirl. I've clicked on the torn page icon (Jennifer, it is just to the left (oops, it's to the right) of the address bar but you seem to have solved it).

So, does it work?
