Thanks ever so much everyone - what wonderful people you all are! So now I know a little more - and I think I can rule out that GGrandma Elizabeth died in London - so I'll just have to keep on looking as to what happened to her - thank you all again, Regards, Brian |

This looks like the birth of the one year old daughter on the 1881 census:- |

I think this could possibly be Henry and Elizabeth's marriage (it's in the same district as they are living in 1881):- |

Hi, I'm back again, said I was a novice - its my age!. Sorry, in 1901 Henry was not in Chorley - but he had been there in the 1890's because his daughter Mabel married my Grandad John Bibby, but by 1901 census he was back living with his Father in Blackwell - sorry for the error, many tthanks again, Brian |

Hi everyone, first let me say I'm a real novice at this so if the question is too trivial or daft - let me apologise up front! I'm trying to trace what happened to my GGrandma Elizabeth Lilley (don't even know her maiden name!) On the 1881 census she is shown as married to my GGrandad Henry living at Alfreton, then in 1891 still married but living at Normanton but not shown on 1901, but, Henry shown living in Chorley. Don't know what happened to her but found only 1 possible death record in the 10 year period which is Q1 1893, District St Geo H. Sq. Vol, ln Page, 376 - what is St Geo H. Sq. ? please or has anybody else any idea what may have happened to her, thank you all for reading this, any help very much appreciated, thanks, Brian |
