Not on Ancestry, but should be recoreded on the certificate |

The info should be on the marriage cert, but not ancestry. I have one family member on her third marriage and the cert lists all her previous names. |

If you are talking about an England or Wales marriage certificate, then it will not generally show a woman's previous names, only her surname at the time of marriage (which will of course be her previous married surname if she was a widow). However, you should be able to infer her maiden name from her father's surname, which should be given on the certificate. |

Some give previous names and some dont. My grandmother only gave her previous married name. |

My mums paternal gran was married 3 times her third marriage in 1900 shows her in her current married name with no ref to the first husband, Her dads name is on all three marriage certs so this shows what her maiden name was. If you didnt know she had been married three times you wouldn't be aware from her 3rd marriage cert. |
