Hi, I wondered if there was anyone who can help? I have a WIlliam Galloway born 1845, Strathmiglo, Fife and married Elizabeth Blackmann on 20 June 1870 in Kingston Upon Thames. They had 8 children, Catherine Galloway born c. 1874, England, William Galloway born c.1876 and John Galloway born c.1881 England. The rest of the children were born in Dundee, Scotland. Can anyone help me with the Blackmann family and to find out where in England their children were born? By 1882 they had all moved to Dundee. |

Hi Potty, this is the right family. I can only get them on the 1891 census as well but can't find them anywhere else. |

I cannot find any of the children's births on freebmd nor a marriage in 1870 between William Galloway and Elizabeth Blackmann. Where did you get the marriage date from? |

Hi Gywn, it could be possible ? I'm not sure where the middle name of Hill would come from though as I have not seen it in any of my other research. |

Potty, I checked BDM on the Kingsston Upon Thames website family history section and they seemed like they had a match for them but I haven't got round to ordering the certificate |

As far as I know, I don't think they had second or middle names |
