Personally i think Paul has hit the nail on the head.......Adeline married her dead sisters husband the year after her death........ the death cert for Louisa Bear in 1891 would confirm it all. Pauls correct, ignore the ages, lying about age was VERY common. Walter would have needed a mother for his children, hence the very hasty marriage......... |

I have found Adeline Chalklen in the 1871 and 1881 census living in the Woolwich and West Ham areas but I am unable to find her in the 1891 census. She married in West Ham in 1892. |
