You might find something in the local paper to where he lived at the time - or where his family lived. They may have published a bit of info about what happened. |

As you know his regiment and date of death and location etc it is a question of trawling through the battles that took place around that time with the regiment he was involved in. |

All WW1 death certs I have only say killed in action and really do not give any more details except perhaps service number and regiment |

My gr. uncle Arkieles Stinton was killed in May 1915 in WW1 and is buried in a cemetry in France. How can I find out how he died, what battle etc? He was in the Yorks/Lancs Division. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help. |
