I read this thread the other day and checked before I wrote anything but William Welling is the father of Moses Welling and William can be found in 18 Wilford Road Croydon with Moses and his wife on the 1891 census.. |

Sorry to be a pain - but if anyone can try and put a place to where Mary says she was born I would be so grateful. They were a family of Hawkers and I believe moved around a lot before the 1860 census |

As in 1861 Stephen's mother is listed as born in 1829 and Mary Ann was born about 1840 I see your problem. |

Her husband is on Daniels death cert as brother in law? |

Heather | Report | 2 Oct 2008 19:55 |
So on her marriage cert it gives William Welling, Tinman? |
|||
|
K | Report | 2 Oct 2008 19:46 |
It does look a reasonable asumption with Daniel's children living as nieces and nephews with John and Mary Ann in 1901 |

Yes we believe it is her brother and family. Not totally sure of relationship as she is about 20 years older. But both Daniel and Mary had a father named William who was a Tinman so 98% sure. 2% niggle. |
