Looking for details/relatives of Joan Lilian Marjorie Pritchett who was born in Northampton in 1926. Her parents were Charles Henry Pritchett & Gladys Elsie Pritchett (nee Smith). They were maried in Warwickshire in 1924. I am not sure if she might have changed her name, she was still Pritchett in 1952 in Birmingham but I cant find any records apart from her birth certificate. Any help would be wonderful. |

In the last 56 years, she could have married.....several times.........or moved abroad.......or died. Or any combination of the three......... |

No marriage or death came up when I looked in records. It is very frustrating. |

I looked at freebmd and also on ancestry but it showed nothing. I could be doing it wrong. They both showed her birth |

FreeBMD only goes up to the early 1920s. You have to search the *complete* images here: |

I have searched marriage records and nothing comes up. Does anyone know how accurate the initials are in the records - could they be omitted? |

yes initials could be omitted. The information is only as good as the informant provides.Someone could easily drop their middle names when getting married. The information on a death certificate is only as accurate as the informant knows. My grandmother didn't know her husbands middle name. He was born James Auguste Tocqueville and died James Arthur. |

Yes I am subscribed to ancestry and new to it. I looked through the marriages for pritchetts for each quarter from approx 1950 -1980. I saw a few Joan Pritchetts but no JLM Pritchett - did I miss it? She was born on 11 march 1926. What a shame, was hoping she was still alive - I am pretty new to searching the records. How would I find out if she had any other children? Thank you so much for finding this information for me (although disappointing) |

The records I searched were on ancestry - she could have changed her name before she married. |
