Thanks Gemqueen. Good to know. may be worth me doing a free trial period to see which I prefer, especially if I can save some money - especially now I need to purchase alot more certificates, the money will come in handy. |

I can't see the point of emailing to yourself, why not take a screenshot and save directly to a specific folder on your PC? |

It's probably been said before, but for the benefit of those in England who want Ancestry for free without paying any subs join the local library (free). You can use their computers for your searches on Ancestry- not everything is available but all the censuses are and you can print individual census pages for a small charge. |

Agree with Karen, the ability to take a copy of the census saves a lot of time later when you want to perhaps attach it to your family tree program. |

What with the increase in subscription fees on ancestry, am thinking of switching to the genealogist - on the surface seems to have the same databases AND is £55.92 for a year. |
