In fact on the census image it doesnt say born Bishopsgate but actually Bishopsgate Street. |

he would have missed the 1881 census then mum was probably pregnant with him at the time If he came out of the Army on a pension then his Army records will be at Kew But you would need to get them from there as they wont be online on their website. i got paternal grandfather & his elder brothers Army records form Kew .they joined up in the 1890,s and came out in the pre 1910 era Grandfather didn't show on the 1901 cos he was in the Boar war .He came out on a pension in 1904 and his brother in 1905. |

As a reg district Bishopgate only lasted from Q3 1837 to the end of Q1 1838. |

I am trying to find Christopher Arnold c1881 born Bishopsgate. I have been unable to find his registration of birth, marriage, death or any military records. He is listed on both 1891 and 1901 Census. His parents were Charles and Amelia and siblings Joseph C c1874, John 1876, Charles S 1878, Benjamin c1884, Annie 1885, Thomas c1888 and Rose Emily c1891. |
