I think I have done all I can on this but thought I would ask in case I have missed something. The lady I am helping has very little information.

Her Father was George Edward Wild b. 8th May 1912/13 she thought he was born at Concrete Cottages at Brampton Bierlow Rotherham South Yorkshire but I do not think this is right.

George married Elizabeth Pease 13th April 1940 at Wombwell Barnsley South Yorkshire. George was then living at 27 Concrete Cottages.

According to the marriage cercificate George was 27 years old.

George's Father was Elijah Wild c1874

George had a sister Sarah Jane who was a lot older than him c1906. He also had 2 brothers Harry and Elijah, one was older than him the other younger. The brothers moved to Maclesfield and I have been told died young.

I have searched for births for George but really with not knowing where he was born it is difficult so I started looking at mother's maiden names and tried matching it with a marriage to an Elijah Wild but could not even get that. Now I am beginning to think he married twice.

I found Elijah's death Mar Q 1948 Rother V Age 74

George died Dec Q 1960 Huddersfield Age 47.

I managed to find Concrete Cottages on 1901 census and the family was not living there.

Is there anything else I can do?

Can I just say I may not answer straight away as I have to look after my Husband.

Yes the only fault with that is the other children as the only brothers and sister for George are the ones I mentioned unless there were 2 marriages?? Or the children died???

and must be a 2nd marriage as the Waite children are down as Elijah's children

The Waite 's are Sarah children so seems that marriage shown was to Sarah Waite poss a widow.

this rules them out as Elijah too old !!

you could get that birth cert for Sarah Jane .that will give the mums name

Shirley the only Elijah that is with a Sarah as Wife on 1901 census was born c1844 in Leeds. There is none with a Lavinia

I checked Ancestry for a Wild marriage to match and there is George Edward Wild, ref is down as 823 but it is 323 I think.

I know it can't be the right one as you said father was Elijah but thought I would tell you about it.
