Both parties are listed twice on ancestry. I think I'll have to order both certificates to get the answer. |

Maybe there was a problem with the first marriage & it didnt take place but the record that was pre filled in in preparation got mistakenly forwarded. & the Actual marriage took place in the next qtr |

It's the actual images on ancestry I've looked at. My great aunts name is Minnie Wray married Jul/Sep 1918 W. Ham 4a 530 spouse Clifford and the same entry for Oct/Dec 1918 4a 823 |

Strange isn't it but I'm sure I read somewhere before about that happening and it was as Shirley said and the certificate had been prefilled in before hand and sent off by mistake. |

Did a lot of searching through BMD marriage registration images yesterday and recall seeing about 4 duplicate entries. One differed in that the groom had a second name in the second entry, but the others were all identical, including GRO references. |
