I am struggling to find Matilda on 1911 census. She was born 1885 Liverpool and married Thomas Hartley in 1905 (regd. Lancaster). She had 5 children, the first born 1906, one in 1908, one in 1910, another in 1913 and the last born 1915. Her husband Thomas was killed in March 1915 in France. I was expecting to find her living with her first three children - she would be 25 - either in the Lancaster or Bradford areas. I have tried her maiden name, her married name but to no avail. She did re-marry in 1920 to a Stevenson but I cannot find her on 1911 under Stevenson either. Would anyione be willing to have a look and see if I have somehow missed her? Thank you. |

Dea - thank you so much. I have trawled up and down the 1911 and just could not spot her. I think oerhaps a visit to specsavers is called for. I am grateful to you. |
