1891 CENSUS FOR OLDHAM,HOLLINWOOD Please can I ask for help with any death info for Richard crook (1881) he was born in miles platting to parents Cornelius crook and sarah jane carbell ( carvel) I have all info for everyone on this 1891 census except for this Richard (1881) ...My guess is that the two boys are here with their uncle Frederick as Cornelius crook (1852) has done a runner..But I cant figure out why on sarah janes second marriage to William barton in 1894 she states that she is a widow..Hmmm ive not found any death info for Cornelius (1852) to cover sarah janes statement..Did he really do a runner??? |

If it's the right death, and she was lying, it's probably because it was easier than divorce, which was too difficult & expensive for most people back then. |

Miles Platting is about a mile from Manchester City centre so could be looking for someone who says they are from Manchester on later census. |
