There are other articles in different newspapers about the same case. One describes Robert Trickett as a gentleman of independent means, a local preacher and Sunday school superintendent. |

At Chapel-en-le-Frith yesterday the bench engaged four hours in hearing a case against Robert Tricket, of Hayfield of stealing 6d. worth of crushed oats, the property of Samuel Marriott, a neighbour,. By a majority the bench convicted, and bound the defendant over for judgement when called upon. They afterwards re-heard the case with additional evidence and dismissed it. |
