I've had a lot of help with this lot before but not with this gentleman. I've found him in 1861 with father William and mother Eliza. Isaac was born in 1839 in Albury, Hertfordshire and married Eliza. I can't find this marriage but I know from his son's marriage certificate in Canada that she was Eliza. In 1877 Isaac married Margaret Murrell. I think Isaac's first wife, Eliza, died in 1866 in Edmonton. So why can't I find him in 1871? I'd be glad of any help, please. I've also found him in 1881 with Margaret. |

Thank you, Shirley and Prickly. I had a phone call so had to leave the computer for a few minutes. That's the boy, Prickly. |

I hadn't seen that, Margaret and safc. That looks likely. I'm not certain about the time of Eliza's death. That seemed a likely one but I'm not too sure now. |

Yes, Shirley, that's him. He lost two wives. I've even looked at immigration records in case he hopped across the ocean as some of the family did later but there;s no record of him there either in the 1870s. Thank you all for looking. |

The strange thing is, I think the first wife was born in Norfolk too. I can't remember where I found this, though. |
