	Afternoon all need your help trying to ID my ancestor George Lascelles but have a problem as to which one? I have managed to find 2 of them I have the following information 1. George Lascelles bc 1900 Byers Green County Durham Aged 18 Army No. 47097 Durham Light Infantry 2, George Lascelles bc 1898 Byers Green County Durham Aged 18 Army No. 78915 Northumberland Fusiliers Could someone have a look at there Army Records for any next of kin Thank you in advance
	Researching: Walker , Thornley and Hunt from Westhoughton area Lancashire also Cooper, James, Roscow, Scowcroft from Horwich and Bolton area of Lancashire and James from Westmorland

	The two men you mention were actually the same man and he was killed in WW1: Name:George Lascelles Birth Place:Byers Green Residence:Byers Green Death Date:6 Oct 1918 Death Place:France and Flanders Enlistment Place:Spennymoor Rank:Private Regiment:Durham Light Infantry Battalion:15th Battalion Regimental Number:47097 Type of Casualty:Killed in action Theatre of War:Western European Theatre Comments:Formerly 78918**, Northumberland Fus. Did your grandfather survive the war? As you may know only about 30% off WW1 Service/Pension records have survived. There are other George Lascelles who did survive but whose records haven't.

	Phew!! Sorry I sent you all those millions of pages individually Ann. I saved the Army record to a file.............but couldn't find where I stored the file!! Let me know if you think I have missed anything. Prickles. :-)
