Find Ancestors

Hi,
Can any one help with this please, I am trying to find the father and mother of Ivor Evans born born Dec 30 1909, in either Yorkshire or Wales?? He died March 6th 1983 in Cleveland Yorkshire, He was married to Ethel R Caldwell born Feb 23 rd 1912 in Middlesbrough Yorkshire, she died Oct 15 2000 in Yorkshire, they where married in the 2nd Qtr 1933 in Middlesbrough.
I am doing this for a friend of mine, his son also Ivor Evans who was born in 1941 in Yorkshire, the family unfortunately do not know any more or what their grandfathers name was, any help would be gratefully appreciated by this family,thank you

of course, the quick and dirty answer is to buy the marriage certificate ......... that will have the father's name on it, and provide a starting point.

Assuming that Ivor did not have a middle name, his birth on Dec 30 means that it would not be registered until the first quarter of 1910.

This is the only birth for an Ivor Evans with no middle name that shows on freebmd for March quarter 1910

As I said, you need to ask your friend to buy Ivor and Ethel's marriage certificate ....... that is the place to start.

I wish to thank all of you for your fantastic input to my Question about Ivor Evans, and just to let you all know that he definitely did not have a middle name as I did ask my friend about that, also the wife of Ivor Evans Edith fits in as the Ivor Evans born in 1909 had a daughter who he named "Edith" I will pass this information on to my friend Ivor and I am pretty sure he will now send for the marriage certificate, when he gets out of hospital, again many many thanks to all of you.
