It would really help Ken if we had some dates and perhaps what you know so far.
Does your David Baillie have a middle name - if you go into Search All Records you can make a start there if you have no other information.
Good luck

I found this death for an Edmund Richard Ball......
Deaths Mar 1843 (>99%) BALL Edmund Richard Shrewsbury 18 157
I thought I would check out any Edmund Balls in Shewsbury, Shropshire (Where Elizabeth married) on the 1841 census and found this......
(Note that one of the witnesses at Elizabeth's marriage was...Emma Ball)
Edmund Ball in the 1841 England Census Name: Edmund Ball Age: 50 Estimated birth year: abt 1791 Gender: Male Civil Parish: St Mary Hundred: Shrewsbury Borough County/Island: Shropshire Country: England
Registration district:Shrewsbury Sub-registration district: St Mary

Edmund Ball 50 (Commercial Traveller) Mary Ball 45 Emma Ball 20 Rosanne Ball 15 Eliza Ball 15 <<<<< Elizabeth??? Cecele Ball 11 ....Born Foreign Parts Ellen Ball 7
(All born out of County) Res: Chester Street
Checking out baptism's for the children, I found......
Rosanne Ball in the London, England, Births and Baptisms, 1813-1906 Name: Rosanne Ball Record Type: Baptism Baptism Date: 26 Jan 1822 Born: Sep 7th 1819 Father's name: Edmund Richard Ball (Lambard Street) Paper Maker Mother's name: Mary Anne Ball Parish or Poor Law Union: St Edmund the King and Martyr Borough: City of London Register Type: Parish Registers

Rebecca Ball Born: Feb 24th 1818 Emma Ball Born: July 1st 1816 Caroline Ball Born: Sep 3rd 1813 Charles Edmund Ball Born Nov 12th 1812 Elizabeth Stanbrough? Ball Born: Oct 12th 1821
Cecele Lucie Ball in the Wales, Select Births and Baptisms, 1541-1907 Name: Cecele Lucie Ball Gender: Female Birth Date: 24 Feb 1829 Baptism Date: 26 Feb 1834 Baptism Place:Penbryn Independent OR Congregational,Wrexham,Denbigh,Wales Father: Edmund Richd. Ball Mother: Mary Ann
On the same page.......
Ellen Grace Ball....Born 29th Nov 1833 Wrexham, Denbighshire, Wales
??
Edmund Rich Ball in the England, Select Marriages, 1538–1973 Name: Edmund Rich Ball Gender: Male Marriage Date: 13 Jan 1810 Marriage Place: Merrow,Surrey,England Spouse: My An Stanbrough
Taking into consideration that ages were often narrowed down in the 1841 census, I am wondering (as I can't find a baptism for an Eliza Ball)......that Eliza on the 1841 census is actually Elizabeth.
Elizabeth's age varies on all the census records.

Between 1897 and 1905 Harriet appears to have 'got rid of' around £12000 - that, in today's money would be around £680,000 - I wonder what she spent it on?? ;-) :-D
