Hi Shirley,
She married John Hunt on 8th Sept 1861 in Loughborough. No I've not found Edward, I'm in the process of looking at the moment.
Chris
Edit - Sorry Shirley I was getting confused with another of Rebecca's children. Yes I have found Edward in 1881 living in Nottingham with his wife and daughter. It was because of this I sent for a death certificate for a Rebecca Hunt death in Nottingham but this turned out to be the wrong Rebecca.

Thanks for your replies.
Malyon yes that is Rebecca with her first husband and that is their marriage. I believe that the Jane Fowers in the 1851 census is Rebecca's sister however I cannot find the marriage. I'm not sure that the transcription of Fowers is correct but I cannot read it properly.
Because I couldn't find Rebecca or her husband in the 1891 census I checked for deaths and found this
Deaths Sep 1885 (>99%) HUNT John 78 Loughbro' 7a 71
but I couldn't find one for Rebecca in Loughborough.
I'm now going to work my way through Rebecca's children to see where they were living between the 1881-1891 census to see if there is a death on the same registration district.
I've found this one
Deaths Mar 1888 (>99%) HUNT Rebecca 75 Haslingden 8e 88
Burial: 16 Mar 1888 St Nicholas, Newchurch in Rossendale, Lancashire, England Rebecca Hunt - Age: 75 Abode: Newchurch Buried by: J B Phillips Rector Register: Burials 1886 - 1908, Page 34, Entry 267 Source: Original Parish Register
Her daughter and family were living in Newchurch and had been for several years.
I just need to see if there are any more relevant matches before jumping in and buy more certificates.

Thanks for your reply Dea.
No I hadn't. As I couldn't find either of them in the 1891 census I've just looked at deaths between 1881 and 1891 which may be a little naive as I suppose they could have still been alive but I'd not found them due to mis-transcription or something.
I'm tempted to order the Lancashire death certificate but don't want to waste money on another certificate if it's not the right one. Because of Lancs OPC I know it's the same church that her grand children were baptised in but think I'd better check out where her other children were living to see if there's a Rebecca Hunt death in the same district.
If I have problems locating them I'll add to this thread if that's okay.

the census 1901 that dea put on can't be your Rebecca as she married 1n 1832 so would not have been born in 1822

Thanks Malyon.
As you will see from my first entry, in 1881 my Rebecca's year of birth in the census is down as 1821 which is incorrect yet further down in the 1871 census it is shown as 1812 and I know her birth year was 1812/1813. I don't know which for certain only that on the day of her christening in 1823 she was 10 years old.
I don't think the one Dea found is mine due to the age of that Rebecca's daughter Mary and on the image of that census entry the 80 for Rebecca's age is very clear.
I've tried searching the newspapers to see if there was anything in them about the Rebecca who died in Lancashire but haven't come across anything.

After more hours of research I went with my gut feeling that Rebecca had gone to live with her eldest daughter and that the Lancashire death was the correct one.
The certificate came this morning and thankfully it's the right one.
Thanks to those who helped.
