Found on Family Free Search 1871 census Index in household of my John Harvey/Harvy and hi wife Eliza living in Poplar London mddx. Last name under their children is a Thomas Hawkins age 18 born Ratcliffe described as John and eliza's nephew? this is new to me. Please could any one see him on 1861 or a baptism i would like to know which side of the family he has come from. Thank you Cheryl |

So is Thomas Hawkins a nephew through a married sister of either John Harvey or his wife Eliza nee Webb? The relationship on census is to the Head of the house but (nephew in law is a mouthful) probably could relate to either. |

Thank you so much for all this information. This is a bit of a puzzle as the Webb side of the family originated from chelsea, mddx. The Harvey side from Bloomsbury, mddx through to Shoreditch, Limehouse. I will have to go back and check out John's sister Mary Eliza may be she shortened her name to Eliza? Thanks cheryl |

John's Harvey's sister is just Mary and i have found her and her husband. So it must be the Webb side? Eliza had 3 sisters a susanna web born 1830 Chelsea, Elizabeth webb born 1832 Stepney and mary Ann born about 1836 possibly whitechapel. May be thomas Hawkin will be a mystery. I can't see the St. George East thomas fitting here yet? Cheryl |

Ratcliff is an area which borders St George in the East which is why I thought the baptism MAY be correct. |
