Hello everyone,
I am trying to find information on my ancestor Thomas Brown. His parents were George & Esther Brown and he was one of 9 children. He was born abt 1868 in Sussex. He died a bachelor according to old family records. Two of his sisters died spinsters from the same address of 1 Bungalow Broad Oak, Heathfield. I am hoping to be able to learn more about him. Thanks in advance for any help provided
Thanks :-)

Just to confirm this is the family concerned.
What information do you want to know, you seem to know a fair deal.
The free to use website http://www.freebmd.org.uk should show you the births and possible marriages of the siblings in conjunction with census returns to confirm

These look to be the probable births of the siblings
Births Sep 1863 (>99%) BROWN George Robert Uckfield 2b 85 Births Sep 1865 (>99%) BROWN Emily Mary Uckfield 2b 93
Births Sep 1867 (>99%) Brown Edward Benjamin Uckfield 2b 106
NOT finding Thomas birth Reg. Should be Uckfield RD. It's not the Thomas Geoerge A b Dec 1867 - he is on the 1881 census elsewhere with different parents. The 1871/1911 census has him born 1870 (rather than the 1881 which shows 1868) so maybe he's this one un named -
Births Sep 1869 (>99%) Brown Male Uckfield 2b 98
Births Dec 1872 (>99%) BROWN Esther Matilda Uckfield 2b 104
Births Sep 1875 (>99%) BROWN Alfred John Hailsham 2b 78 Births Sep 1877 (>99%) Brown Elizabeth Charlotte Hailsham 2b 83 Births Jun 1879 (>99%) Brown Jesse Hailsham 2b 96 Births Dec 1881 (>99%) BROWN Jane Harriett Hailsham 2b 99

Thanks all for your help :-) GreyGhost I was hoping to find out where he worked lived and what age he died and where. I did notice something in the 1871 census, a child named Edward age 3. He was not mentioned in any family records I have come across. I thought it may have been Thomas but he is listed as being 1yo on that same census! Maybe the family missed him somehow?!?! Anyway thanks again everyone for your help it is greatly appreciated :-)

The census would appear to show him as an Ag. Lab/Labourer/Carter and I would expect that he remains much along the same lines but have no proof.
I have posted a possible death, the death certificate may show a known relative registering the death.
Edward aged 3 in 1871 who you mention - I think you will find this is the Benjamin aged 15 in 1881. If you look at the list of siblings that I put up you will see Edward Benjamin b 1867 and he is named on Alfred John's Service records too. (Not Charles Benjamin 1864 that you list on your other thread).
A good reason to keep all questions about the same family on one thread, so everything is together and we don't have to keep flipping between threads to compare what has been found!!
Thomas appears to have made a will which would fit with the death Q1 1936 - Thomas Brown of 1 Bungalow, Broad Oak, Heathfield, Sussex died 26 February 1936. Administration London 21 April to Benjamin Edward Brown furniture salesman. Effects £165 Getting a copy of the will may help your research on the family
