I am still searching for the death of my Great Grandmother Mary Jane Lee. She lived in Balfour Road Portsmouth in 1939 on electoral Roll & listed as Incapacitated. She was born in London in 1865 as Mary Jane Ubsdell & married twice but lived in Portsmouth most of her life. First marriage was to John Butlin & 2nd marriage to William Lee ( lived in Southampton but moved back to Portsmouth when she became a widow in 1930 |

Thanx for your help but I can see I'm still at Square 1. I don't think she went abroad as she was listed as incapacitated in 1939. Perhaps Balfour road & the house got bombed during the war. That's a possibility. |
