Basically same place as 1901 then. Not sure if you have noticed, Grove Hill is on 1901 census, a couple of pages back. Chances are they were still nearby in 1911. The only other option would be to trawl along the 1911 census looking for them. I'm not sure if it ever happens that images are there but haven't been transcribed. Nobody stands out 1911 as a mis-transcription. |

Horace married in 1918 and his address was Grove Hill, Woodford, Essex. I do know everyone called him Horace. I hate not being able to find him anywhere - it's so frustrating! :-( |

Thank you all so much. I do know that a few years after the 1911 census they were still in Woodford, Essex. My granddad Horace Tomblin married in 1918 at the Parish Church in Woodford, Essex. My dad Ronald Tomblin born 1928 and his sister Isobel born 1920 were also both born in Woodford, Essex. Really wish I could find my granddad. |

I see Thomas was a caretaker at the mission hall 1901. They could have gone anywhere really, and might have just slipped through the net. |

Can anyone help? I have searched and searched and cannot find my granddad anywhere in the 1911 census. He was born in Woodford, Essex. His parents were Thomas Tomblin born 1855 and Emma Smith born 1857. In 1901 they were all living in Woodford, Essex. His siblings were Lilian Tomblin born 1878, Thomas Henry Tomblin born 1880, Ellen Tomblin born 1883 and Ernest Tomblin born 1886. Any help would be greatly appreciated :-( :-S |
