	I am hoping someone may be able to answer the following query. The above named lady of Weaver Hall, London Road, Northwich, Cheshire. Died July 1960. Leaving £1093 3s and 6d. My query is with this amount of money why would she be living in a place described as a workhouse. Thank you See link http://www.fowhm.org.uk/

	Workhouses as such were abolished in 1930. Could it have been a hospital (what many workhouses became) or old peoples home? Andy
